【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversanenginetestprocedureforevaluatingautomotiveengineoilsforcertainhigh-temperatureperformancecharacteristics,includingoilthickening,varnishdeposition,oilconsumption,aswellasenginewear.Suchoilsincludebothsingleviscositygradeandmultiviscositygradeoilsthatareusedinbothspark-ignition,gasoline-fueledengines,aswellasindieselengines.Note1-CompaniontestmethodsusedtoevaluateengineoilperformanceforspecificationrequirementsarediscussedinSAEJ304.ThevaluesstatedinSIorotherunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareprovidedforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatoryrequirementspriortouse.
